Our History

ASIAPHIL offers a full range of power connection needs of power generation (and transmission) and electric distribution utilities as well as commercial and industrial facilities in the Philippines. Established in 1973 by Engr. Guillermo T. Batungbacal, the company has expanded from manufacturing electrical panelboards and switchgears to venturing into electric connection.

Since then, ASIAPHIL Group has built up years of industry experience and remains committed to providing a pleasant experience to its clientele by delivering world class power connection solutions.

To date, the ASIAPHIL is comprised of major business areas focusing on different areas of expertise to serve clients from various industries as follows :​

  • ASIAPHIL Inc. offers solutions that includes turn-key substations, grid connection, DC Rail Power Systems, submarine/overhead/underground cable connections, installation of power generation equipment, in-plant electrical works as well as operations and maintenance works.
  • GTB Industrial Network Inc. is a leading distributor, agent, stockist of Siemens circuit breakers, Hubbell Products ( AB Chance, Fargo, Anderson and Ohio Brass ), Hendrix Products.
  • ASIAPHIL South Luzon, Inc, is focused on metal and steel structure fabrication and coating
  • USTESTING Inc., specializes on transformer oil testing services.
  • ASIAPHIL Electric Pampanga Inc. manufactures electrical switch gears and control panels
  • ASIAPHIL Energy Solutions Inc. offers power quality solutions and testing services with 24/7 up time.
  • ASIAPHIL Systems Automation Inc. is an expert in Relay Protection and Control and substation automation.
  • ASIAPHIL Hope, Inc. offers rent-to-own substations to electric distribution utilities.

It also offers operations and monitoring of power systems. It has developed capabilities such as the manufacturing of panelboards and switchgears, as well as offers Power Quality Solution services, testing services, and retrofitting works.
  2. Subcontracting: Asiaphil South Luzon, Inc. is committed to be the outsourcing entity of choice for metal fabrication and coating. It acts as a partner by providing design ideas and metal products to improve the ultimate customer product. 
  3. Distributing: GTB Industrial Network, Inc. distributes reliable Electrical Products made available nationwide
  4. Investing: Asiaphil Management Resources, Inc. specializes on property development, land banking, and facilities and assets management.

Our Timeline and Milestones

ASIAPHIL Incorporated then Asiaphil Manufacturing Industries, Inc.

  • Was founded on July 11, 1973 by Guillermo T. Batungbacal (known as GTB in the industry)
  • Started as a distribution agent for a company called ITE World Trade USA
  • Engaged in manufacturing/assembly of electrical panel boards and switchgears
  • Used to be partly owned by Cutler-Hammer USA
  • Proudly Filipino Family-owned enterprise with overseas operations
